  • Barry Cann

    Barry Cann Group Managing Director

    With a career of over 30 years encompassing roles such as Business Director, Project Manager and Chartered Engineer with experience in Engineering Design, Construction, Commissioning and Decommissioning.

    Barry has worked in various industries including; Oil and Gas (Conventional and Unconventional), Nuclear, Rail and Mining covering all levels of a typical supply chain from small service company to operating client.

    The last 10 years have primarily been focused in leading and managing Completions and Commissioning service companies, providing resources, processes and technology to ensure the safe and timely Start-up of the client’s asset(s) on a global basis.

  • Dave Hickey

    Dave Hickey Group Operations Director

    Dave has 30 years experience within the Oil and Gas Industry. He began his career in the Oil and Gas Industry in the Platform Fabrication Yards, primarily in Newcastle working on major global Oil and Gas projects. Through this experience Dave fully understands the phases and complex interfaces between Design, Construction, Commissioning and Operations, their requirements and deliverables and therefore the necessary elements in successful delivery of projects across all phases. In the last 15 years of his career he has specialised in the fields of Completions and Commissioning.

    His expertise in these fields, has led him to the role of qedi’s Operations Director where he is successfully leading and managing multidiscipline teams. His in-depth knowledge of Oil and Gas Construction, Commissioning workscope, HSE and planning as well as his experience in Design, Procurement and Commercial processes has lead to proven delivery of extensive Mechanical Completion and Commissioning programmes and the production of detailed Completions, Commissioning, Operating and Safety procedures.

  • Martin Boddy

    Martin Boddy Group Technical Director

    Martin has over 30 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. He began his career by completing an apprenticeship in Instrument and Controls, subsequently specialising in Commissioning, and has progressed to multi-discipline senior management levels.

    Prior to joining qedi, Martin was working within the parent company's corporate function C3 (Construction, Commissioning and Completions) focusing on Commissioning best practice. In his role as Technical Director of qedi, he is committed to ensuring that GoTechnology® stays ahead of the competition by means of innovative research and development and continuous improvement.

  • Tony Davies

    Tony Davies Technical Consultant

    With 30 eight years Oil and Gas experience in the areas of Construction, Hook-up, Commissioning and Decommissioning both Onshore and Offshore covering Terminals, Refineries, Platforms and FPSOs. Tony’s career commenced at Mobil North Sea in Aberdeen in 1975, after which he worked with Aker, AOC International and KBR in the UK, Australia, Canada and the USA, before joining qedi in 2005.

    Tony is the creator of the GoTechnology® concept and with qedi as a private Business, was their Operations Director responsible for running the Operations, Proposals and Technology streams. Following the acquisition of qedi, he relinquished this role to concentrate on a new challenge as Technical Consultant, providing both up-front services to new and existing clients, plus Consultancy services in Completions, Commissioning and Decommissioning services. Tony has a BA degree in Technology.
