Functional Systemisation & LOSH
Duration: 1 Day
Discipline: Construction/Commissioning/Operations
Skill Level: Approved Functional Systemisation & LOSH Project Applications
Course Description
The 1-day Functional Systemisation & LOSH Course has been developed to assist Project and operations Managers and Engineers responsible for the construction, commissioning and start-up of projects / modifications. The course addresses the critical concept of “delivering the Technical Integrity that has been designed into the system through the construction and commissioning phases” and introduces the principles of GoC (Guidance on Certification) and demonstrates how its use delivers technical integrity through a series of practical examples. The historical development of the GoC is described, and its role in delivering technical integrity is emphasised. Delegates learn the benefits of functional systemisation by breaking down a plant into component systems. They will understand the benefits of GoC by learning how to assess the minimum certification required to delivering successful handovers. Group exercises (case studies) demonstrate the application of GoC to construction, commissioning and maintenance activities.
Having attended this course, delegates will fully understand the activities and resources required to successfully deliver the technical integrity designed into the Asset through the construction and commissioning process.
Target Audience
This course is targeted at both the project community and those operations practitioners currently working on projects. The course is particularly relevant to those engaged in fabrication, construction, commissioning and start-up of new or modified assets. It is of particular benefit to Engineering Managers, QA/QC Managers/Engineers, Project Managers/Engineers, and Commissioning Managers/Engineers and Project Operations Representatives.
