GoC Certificates & Manual Training Course
Duration: 1 Day
Discipline: Construction/Commissioning/Operations
Skill Level: Approved Certificates Completion Activities
Course Description
The 1-day GoC Certificate & Manual Course has been developed to assist all Project personnel participating in the construction, commissioning and start-up of projects / modifications. The course addresses the critical concept of “delivering the Technical Integrity that has been designed into the system through the construction and commissioning phases” and introduces the principles of GoC (Guidance on Certification) and demonstrates how its use delivers technical integrity through a series of practical examples. The historical development of the GoC is described, and its role in delivering technical integrity is emphasised. Delegates learn how to fill out certificates and the importance of the ‘signatories’ in completion and content of the certificates ensuring Technical Integrity. The delegates will also learn how to use the GoC Manual where they will be able to provide a collective asset statement of shared good practice on the minimum acceptable level of documentation required demonstrating that Technical Integrity has been acceptably achieved, and/or reinstated following completion of project and/or maintenance activities. They will understand the benefits of GoC by learning how to complete the minimum certification required in delivering successful handovers. Group exercises (case studies) demonstrate the application of GoC to construction, commissioning and maintenance activities.
Having attended this course, delegates will have a good understanding of the activities and resources required to successfully deliver the technical integrity designed into the asset through the construction and commissioning process.
Target Audience
This course is targeted at both the project community and those operations practitioners currently working on projects. The course is particularly relevant to those engaged in fabrication, construction, commissioning and start-up of new or modified assets.
